Marked growth in applications to 2 year MBA

According to the 2014 Application Trends Survey, for a third consecutive year, applications to full-time 2 year MBA programme showed marked growth. These reports were released by the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC). With a detailed study, the survey reported a decrease in applications to other graduate management programmes.

The survey also observed trends that show a growing number of students seeking to study outside their country of citizenship. These candidates make up a significant portion of the talent pool for many MBA and non-MBA master's programmes and are driving changes in year-on-year application volume globally.

The increasingly global talent pool has been emerging for more than a decade, and has shaped the development of management education where it is growing, in the mix of programmes types offered to meet the needs of global students.

The 2014 Applications Trend Survey found that 61 percent of global full-time two-year MBA programmes participating in the survey reported increase in applications of about 50% of the programmes in 2013.
