After many errors and delays, the hall tickets will soon be available to SSC students. The hall tickets are under print and will reach the distribution centres on Wednesday, said the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education.
Laxmikant Pandey, Chairperson of the Mumbai division said, "All schools received the pre-lists and sent them back to us with the corrections. The hall tickets will be ready by February 26 and will be available at the distribution centres on the morning of February 26. Schools can collect them and give them to students soon after."
Generally, the hall tickets reach schools a month prior to the examination dates, however this time, it was delayed due to technical errors that affected the data of candidates.
The schools which got their pre-lists last week report several errors in the list. Rajesh Pandya, a teacher from Fatima Devi Hindi High School, Malad said, "We received the pre-lists on Thursday but there were several errors. We spotted around 22 mistakes and have sent the corrected lists back to the state board. However, there was no picture against two names. It will be a problem if the pictures are missing on the hall tickets as well."
The board has permitted the schools to organise internal examinations without hall tickets or seat numbers, after the delay in issuing the pre-lists to the schools. The date for marks submissions for internal examinations was also extended.
Pandey said, "A detailed circular will be given to the schools along with the hall tickets, which will explain the schedule for submitting the marks."
After the students complained about the colleges charging fees for correction in the hall ticket this year, the board has decided not to charge fee for any kind of corrections.
The hall tickets will be available from 26th February, 2014 onwards.
