Maharashtra Education Minister Varsha Gaikwad has announced that the Maharashtra Class 10 board exams 2021 have been cancelled. The Government has taken the decision in the wake of the worsening situation of the COVID-19 cases. The news is a relief to lakhs of students who have been eagerly waiting for the cancellation of the exam. The Class 10 assessment criteria will be declared soon. Earlier, the board has postponed the Class 12th (HSC) exams till May end.

In a series of tweets, Minister Varsha Gaikwad tweeted, "Given the worsening situation of the #Covid-19 pandemic, the Maharashtra government has now decided to CANCEL the state board exams for class 10th. The health & safety of our students and teachers is our topmost priority. #exams #ssc #hsc"

She tweeted, "As the current atmosphere is not conducive to exams, we had earlier postponed our exams while requesting other boards to reschedule theirs. In response to our communication, other boards have now cancelled their exams, so maintaining parity, we have cancelled ours too."

Maharastra HSC Board Exams 2021 Postponed
Education Minister Varsha has announced that Class 12th board exams were postponed till May end. The board is putting the best foot forward to release the revised board sheet of HSC exams. The decision will be taken after reviewing the situation of COVID-19.
Gaikwad tweeted, As far as the state board exams of class 12th are concerned, we have already conveyed our decision to postpone the exams till May end. The status remains the same. We are closely monitoring the health and safety situation in the state.

Earlier, the Maharashtra government has decided to promote students of Classes 1 to 9 and 11 without exams due to the COVID pandemic.
