Maharashtra CET Admission 2026: The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell has revised the final admission deadline for various technical education courses for the academic year 2026-27.
As per the latest notice, September 14, 2026, is the cut-off date for all types of admissions under the state admission process. The revised deadline has been announced in line with the applicable directions and orders of the competent authorities.
The deadline is important for candidates seeking admission through the Centralised Admission Process (CAP) as well as those applying for seats remaining vacant after the CAP rounds. Maharashtra CET Admission 2026: September 14 Final Deadline
The CET Cell has specified September 14, 2026, up to 5 PM, as the cut-off date for all types of admissions for the academic year 2026-27 under technical education. Institutes are also required to upload details of admitted candidates by the prescribed deadline.
For institute-level admissions against vacant seats remaining after the CAP process, colleges are required to display the vacant-seat information, invite applications from eligible candidates, prepare the merit list and complete the admission process according to the applicable government admission rules. The institute-level admission activity is scheduled to continue until September 14.
Maharashtra CET CAP and Institute-Level Admissions
The revised deadline covers admissions conducted through the CAP process and the subsequent institute-level admission process for vacant seats. Candidates who have already secured seats through CAP should ensure that they have completed seat acceptance, document submission, fee payment and reporting requirements wherever applicable.
Students who are still seeking admission through vacant seats should check the respective college websites and the Maharashtra CET Cell portal for institute-level vacancy information, merit lists and admission instructions.
What Candidates Should Do Before September 14
Candidates who are yet to complete their admission formalities should act without delay. They should verify their allotment or institute-level admission status, submit the required documents, pay the applicable fees and report to the allotted or participating institute within the prescribed timeline.
Candidates should also ensure that their personal and academic details are correct and that all required certificates are available. Any delay in completing the admission process could affect the candidate's eligibility to secure a seat.
