The Madhya Pradesh School Education Department has officially announced the summer vacation schedule for all schools in the state. According to the latest circular, schools across Madhya Pradesh-both government and private-will remain closed for summer holidays from May 1 to June 15, 2025, offering a 46-day long break for students.

This extended vacation aims to provide children with a much-needed pause from the regular academic calendar, especially during the peak of summer when temperatures in many parts of the state soar. Students will be free from school-related activities during this time, allowing them to rest, travel with family, or pursue hobbies and interests.
For teachers, the summer holidays will span from May 1 to May 31, 2025. They are expected to resume duties in June to prepare for the new academic session, ensuring everything is in place before students return.
In addition to the summer vacation, the academic calendar for the year 2024-2025 also includes other important breaks:
Dussehra Holidays: October 11 to October 13, 2024
Diwali Holidays: October 29 to November 3, 2024
Winter Break: December 31, 2024 to January 4, 2025
These holidays are scheduled to align with major festivals and seasonal changes, enabling families and educators to plan their schedules more effectively.
The Department has encouraged students and parents to make good use of this long vacation not only for leisure but also for skill-building and creative activities. Summer camps, online courses, and reading programs are great ways for students to stay engaged while enjoying their time off.
This break is expected to be a refreshing pause before schools gear up for the next academic year, helping both students and teachers return with renewed energy and enthusiasm.
