With the academic year coming to an end, students across Karnataka are eagerly looking forward to their vacations. The completion of exams for 1st standard, 9th standard, and 12th standard marks the beginning of a well-deserved break.

Students Await Holidays as Exams Conclude

For younger students in 1st standard, the holidays bring a time of fun, family outings, and relaxation after their first academic experience. Meanwhile, 9th standard students, who have just completed a crucial phase before entering their board exam year, are excited about travel plans, summer camps, and skill-building activities. 12th standard students, having finished their pre-university exams, are now focused on planning their next steps, whether it be higher education, entrance exams, or career paths.

Travel Plans and Festive Celebrations

With the onset of Ugadi and Ramzan (Eid al-Fitr), many families are planning trips to visit their hometowns or vacation destinations. To accommodate the high demand, KSRTC has announced 2,000 additional buses from Bengaluru to various locations across Karnataka and neighboring states.

Special buses will operate towards Mysuru, Mangaluru, Hubballi, Dharwad, Belagavi, Hyderabad, Chennai, Coimbatore, and Kerala to ensure comfortable travel for students and families.

As students wrap up their academic year, the excitement for holidays, festivals, and travel plans fills the air, making this a joyful time for relaxation and new experiences.

KSRTC to Operate 2,000 Additional Buses for Ugadi and Ramzan Festivals

With the Karnataka 2nd PUC exams concluding, students and travelers eagerly anticipate their holiday plans. To accommodate the increased demand for transportation during the festive season, the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) has announced the operation of 2,000 additional buses for Ugadi and Eid al-Fitr (Ramzan) celebrations.

Special Bus Services for Festive Travelers

KSRTC has planned to operate these additional buses from March 28 to March 30, covering various routes from Bengaluru to different parts of Karnataka and neighboring states. This initiative aims to provide seamless and convenient travel for passengers during the holiday rush. The return journey to Bengaluru is also taken into consideration, with special buses running on March 31 from various intra and inter-state locations.

The special services will operate from Kempegowda Bus Station (Majestic), catering to passengers traveling to key destinations such as:

Karnataka Destinations: Dharmasthala, Kukkesubramanya, Shivamogga, Hassan, Mangaluru, Kundapura, Sringeri, Horanadu, Davangere, Hubballi, Dharwad, Belagavi, Vijayapura, Gokarna, Sirsi, Karwar, Raichur, Kalaburagi, Ballari, Koppal, Yadgir, and Bidar.

Andhra Pradesh & Telangana: Tirupati, Vijayawada, Hyderabad.

Meanwhile, special services from Mysuru Road Bus Station in Bengaluru will exclusively cater to Mysuru, Hunsur, Piriyapatna, Virajpet, Kushalanagar, and Madikeri.

Additionally, BMTC Bus Station in Shanthinagar will host premier special buses heading to Tamil Nadu and Kerala, covering major cities like:

Tamil Nadu: Chennai, Coimbatore, Madurai, Kumbakonam, Tiruchi.

Kerala: Palakkad, Thrissur, Ernakulam, and Kozhikode.

Advance Booking and Passenger Facilities

To ensure a smooth and hassle-free travel experience, KSRTC has enabled computerized advance ticket reservations for special bus services. Passengers can book tickets online or through designated KSRTC reservation counters.

KSRTC has also advised travelers to plan their journeys in advance to avoid last-minute inconvenience, especially given the high demand during these festival days. The corporation is committed to providing a comfortable and efficient service to all passengers.

With these extensive transport arrangements, KSRTC aims to facilitate convenient travel for students, professionals, and families heading to their hometowns or holiday destinations.
