KPWD Recruitment 2019: Apply Online For 870 Assistant Engineer And Junior Engineer Vacancies

The Karnataka Public Works Department (KPWD) under Govt of Karnataka has invited online applications from eligible and qualified candidates for filling 870 vacancies to the post of Assistant Engineers Gr-I and Junior Engineers (Civil) through direct recruitment to be posted in the PWD departments across the State. The online application process towards the same starts from March 11, 2019 and closes on April 10, 2019 by 11:45 pm, with April 11, 2019 as the last date for paying application fee.

Age Criteria And Fees

Candidates interested in applying for the post of Assistant Engineers and Junior Engineers (Civil) through KPWD Recruitment 2019 must have attained 18 years of age as on April 10, 2019 and must not have exceeded 35 years (Gen), 38 years (2A/2B/3A/3B) and 40 years (SC/ST/CAT-I) receptively as detailed in the notification.

Gen and OBC (2A/2B/3A/3B) candidates must pay a specified amount of Rs. 500 (Assistant Engineers) and Rs. 300 (Junior Engineers) respectively as application processing fee. However, SC/ST/PWD and Ex-SM candidates are granted fee exemption.

Educational Criteria

Desirous candidates applying for the post of Assistant Engineers and Junior Engineers (Civil) through KPWD Recruitment 2019 must possess qualifications as under:

Assistant Engineers Gr-I (Civil) - Degree in Civil Engineering/Construction Technology and Management/Building and Construction Technology/Civil Engineering and Planning/Civil Technology/Construction Technology/Construction Engineering and Management/ Geo-mechanics and Structures/Structural and Foundation Engineering/ Structural Engineering and Construction from a recognised Institute/University established by a law in India and duly approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).

Junior Engineer (Civil) - Diploma in Civil Engineering/Construction Technology and Material Management from a recognized Board of Technical Education under Government of Karnataka.

Selection And Pay Scale

The selection of candidates as Assistant Engineers and Junior Engineers (Civil) through KPWD Recruitment 2019 will be done through a Competitive Examination for 300 marks comprising following papers:

General Knowledge:100 (Objective/MCQ) - 2 hrs
Technical paper :100 (Objective/MCQ) - 2 hrs
Kannada language :100 (Descriptive) - 2 hrs

Candidates selected as Assistant Engineers and Junior Engineers (Civil) will be paid an emolument in the following scale:

Assistant Engineer - Rs 43,100 to Rs. 83,900 per month
