The Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC), under Govt. of Karnataka, has released an official notification, inviting applications from qualified and interested candidates for filling 21 vacancies to the post of Assistant Director in the Dept. of Town and Country Planning through direct recruitment. The online application-cum-registration process towards the same starts from July 10, 2020 and closes on August 10, 2020 with August 11, 2020 as the last date for paying the examination fee.

Age Criteria And Application Fee

Candidates interested in applying for Assistant Directors post through KPSC Notification 2020 must have completed 18 years of age and not be more than 35 years (Gen/UR), with a relaxation in the upper age limit up to 38 years for OBC (2A/2B/3A/3B) and 40 years for (SC/ST and Cat I) respectively as on August 10, 2020 as specified in the notification.

Candidates must pay a prescribed amount of Rs. 600 + 35 (Gen/UR), Rs. 300 + 35 OBC (2A/2B/3A & 3B) and Rs. 50 + 35 (Ex-SM) as examination-cum-application processing fee through online mode or any other mode as applicable. SC/ST/Cat-I candidates are required to pay only the application processing fee of Rs. 35 as mentioned in the notification.

Educational Criteria And Eligibility

Candidates applying for Assistant Directors post through KPSC Notification 2020 must possess a Bachelor's Degree/B.E/B.Tech in Civil/Architecture Engineering; Post Graduate Degree/Diploma in Town & Country Planning or Urban Design/Urban Planning or City Planning or Landscape Architecture or Transportation Planning from a recognised University/Institute established by Law.

Candidates must (compulsorily) know Kannada language - read, write and speak.
