KMAT is conducted for admissions into the following courses in private colleges across Karnataka.
The courses are Master of Business Administration (MBA), Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) and Master of Computer Application (MCA).

KMAT 2015 was conducted on August 2, 2015.
This year, KMAT saw a few major changes, where there were separate exams for MBA and MCA, unlike the previous years.

The MBA exam was a two-hours examination, which comprised of three sections, carrying 40 marks each. These are, Language Comprehension, Mathematical Skills and Basic Aptitude. The candidates were given 40 minutes to attempt each section.
The MCA exam was also a two-hours examination, consisting of three sections, carrying 40 marks each. These are, Language Comprehension, Mathematical Skills and Logical Reasoning. Again, the candidates were given 40 minutes to attempt each section.
A total of 169 colleges in Karnataka accept the KMAT scores for admissions to these courses.
