The grading system for Kerala SSLC consists of a 9-point scale. Under this system, students scoring 90% and above receive an A+ grade, while the lowest grade, E, is awarded to those scoring below 20%.

To pass the Kerala SSLC Exam, a minimum grade of D+ is required. Students who do not meet this criterion must sit for the SAY (Save A Year) exam. Kerala SSLC marks cards do not include ranks; instead, they display the grades obtained for each subject. Additionally, individual subject scores are not mentioned on the Kerala SSLC card.
