Creating a wave of excitement among students and educators alike, the Government of Kerala has approved the setting up of a new campus for the Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management, Kerala (IIITM-K).

The Kerala government today approved the creation of the Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management- Kerala (IIITM-Kerala) on November 9, 2023.IIITM-K, located on the Technopark campus in Kerala, was an autonomous academic institution established in the year 2000 by the Government of Kerala. It provided postgraduate courses in information technology and computer science. Later, the IIITM-K in Thiruvananthapuram was elevated to the status of state digital university. The campus' construction is projected to be finished by 2025 at a cost of Rs 109.60 Cr.
The establishment of a new IIITM-K campus is in line with the Government of Kerala's commitment to enhancing the quality of higher education in the state. With this move, it aims to create a more conducive environment for learning, innovation, and technology-driven management practices.
