The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has extended the deadline for fee payment for the Karnataka Post Graduate Common Entrance Test (PGCET) 2024. Initially set for June 22, the new deadline has been pushed to June 24. This extension gives candidates who registered but did not complete their fee transactions extra time to log in to their accounts on cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/kea and finish the process.

In addition to fee payment, candidates can also edit their application forms and select exam centres until June 24, up to 6 pm. This extension applies to those applying for MBA, MCA, ME, MTech, and MArch courses. The KEA announced this update via their official Twitter handle on June 22.
Steps to Pay the Fee
To complete the fee payment process, candidates should follow these steps:
- Visit the KEA website at kea.kar.nic.in.
- Click on the "PGCET 2024 online application" link on the homepage.
- Enter your login details to access the application form.
- Pay the registration fee and submit the form.
- Save and download the registration form for future reference.
Meanwhile, the Karnataka government has decided to increase fees for engineering and architecture courses in private unaided educational institutions by 10% for the academic year 2024-2025. This decision came after discussions involving State Higher Education Minister Dr. M C Sudhakar, Medical Education Minister Dr. Sharan Prakash Patil, representatives of private educational institutes, and members of the Karnataka Unaided Private Engineering Colleges Association (KUPECA).
Initially, private college managements had demanded a 15% fee hike but later agreed to a 10% increase. This consensus was reached during a meeting held on Friday.
Candidates are advised to complete their transactions promptly and take full advantage of this extended period. The KEA's official website remains the primary portal for all related activities and updates concerning PGCET 2024. By adhering to the extended deadlines, candidates can ensure they meet all necessary criteria for their desired courses.
