The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has released detailed instructions for candidates appearing in the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) 2025. Document verification is a crucial step for securing admission to undergraduate engineering, medical, and professional courses in Karnataka for the academic year 2025-26. Candidates must ensure they follow these guidelines to avoid any discrepancies in their admission process.

Key Dates
The KCET 2025 exams are scheduled for April 16 and 17, and all updates regarding document verification will be available on KEA's official website kea.kar.nic.in. Candidates are advised to check the portal regularly for any announcements.
Clause Code 'A' Candidates: Online and Offline Verification
- SATs-Based Verification: Candidates under Clause Code 'A' who have not completed their education in Kannada medium (Classes 1 to 10) or do not fall under Rural, Religious, or Linguistic Minority reservations will have their seven-year study period verified through the Student Achievement Tracking System (SATS). If successfully verified, they will receive a certificate stating "Successfully Verified", eliminating the need for physical verification.
- Physical Verification Requirement: Candidates under Clause Code 'A' who have completed ten years of education in Kannada Medium or belong to specific reservation categories will receive a claim certificate marked as "Claimed Verified," "Claimed Not Verified," or "Not Claimed." These students must visit their PUC/12th-grade institution or the nearest government PU college with their original documents and photocopies for further verification.
Verification for Other Clause Code Candidates
- Clause Codes 'B', 'C', 'D', 'T', 'J', 'K', 'L', 'M', and 'N': Candidates under these categories must check KEA's website for verification schedules and respective verification centers.
- Clause Codes 'E', 'F', 'G', 'H', and 'O': Candidates in these categories must get their educational documents verified at their respective PU colleges.
- Defense & Ex-Defense Candidates: Those applying under Defence, Ex-Defence, CAPF, and Ex-CAPF categories must submit their relevant certificates separately to KEA for verification.
Online Verification for Caste and Income Certificates
KEA has also introduced an online verification process for caste and caste-income certificate RD numbers. Candidates must ensure that:
- Their caste and income certificates are valid.
