The Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) is set to release the results of the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) 2024 shortly. Candidates who sat for the exams on April 18 and 19, 2024, are eagerly awaiting the announcement, which will include the cut-off 2024 and merit list.

KCET 2024 Result to be Announced Soon

This pivotal moment comes after the exams last year were declared on June 15, following sessions held from May 20 to 21, and in a previous year on July 30, after exams from June 16 to 18. The official portal for checking results is kea.kar.nic.in, where students will need their registration or roll number and a password to access their scores.

KCET 2024 Examination Details

The KCET is a critical exam for students aspiring to enter BTech programmes in Karnataka, with the scoring system being straightforward-each correct answer earns one mark, without any penalty for incorrect answers. This method sets the stage for a transparent and fair assessment of candidates' knowledge and skills. In the previous year, the exam witnessed participation from over 2.4 lakh students, including more than 1.21 lakh boys and 1.40 lakh girls, spread across 592 exam centres in the state, with 121 of these centres in Bengaluru alone. Notably, the examination also accommodated nearly 16,000 non-Kannadiga students by exempting them from the compulsory Kannada exam, a move that underscores KEA's inclusive approach.

These thresholds are critical benchmarks that students must meet to qualify for further steps in the admission process.

Rank Allocation

The KCET ranks, which play a pivotal role in determining admissions into various professional courses, will be allocated based on the cumulative marks obtained in Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry. These marks are derived from both the KCET exam and the Qualifying Examination. This comprehensive evaluation ensures a fair and balanced assessment of each candidate's academic capabilities.

Counseling Process

Following the declaration of results, the KEA will provide detailed information about the counseling process. This crucial step will guide students through the next stages of securing their seats in their desired colleges. The counseling process is an integral part of the admission journey, helping students navigate their options and make informed decisions about their academic futures.
