Karnataka UGNEET 2026: KEA Extends Mop-Up Round Admission Deadline for Medical, Dental and AYUSH Seats
The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has extended the deadline for admissions under the UGNEET 2026 Mop-Up Round for vacant Medical, Dental, and AYUSH seats. According to the latest notification, eligible candidates and participating institutions now have until August 2, 2026, to complete the admission process for the remaining vacant seats.
The extension provides another opportunity for candidates who have not yet secured admission through previous counselling rounds. KEA has instructed all participating colleges to strictly adhere to the revised schedule and complete admissions in accordance with the prescribed guidelines.
KEA Revises Mop-Up Round Schedule
As per the official circular, the earlier deadline notified on June 5, 2026, has been extended to August 2, 2026. The revised timeline allows colleges to fill the remaining vacant seats in MBBS, BDS, and AYUSH programmes through the Mop-Up Round.
KEA stated that all admission formalities, along with the submission and uploading of admission details, must be completed within the revised deadline.

The authority has clarified that all other conditions and guidelines mentioned in the earlier notification dated June 5, 2026, remain unchanged.
Instructions for Candidates and Institutions
KEA has advised candidates who are eligible for the Mop-Up Round to complete all admission-related formalities before the revised deadline. Applicants should ensure that they carry all required original documents, eligibility certificates, NEET qualification details, identity proof, and fee payment documents while reporting to the allotted institution.
Participating medical, dental, and AYUSH colleges have also been directed to strictly follow KEA's counselling guidelines while admitting eligible candidates. Institutions must upload admission details to the KEA portal within the stipulated reporting window.
