Fee Structure for Government Colleges
For first-year students enrolling in government colleges, the University of Mysore, and constituent colleges of Visvesvaraya Technical University (VTU), the fee is set at Rs 42,116. This amount covers university fees and other charges. From the second year onward, the annual fee will be Rs 35,016.
Fee Structure Based on Categories and Income Levels
The fee structure varies depending on the category and annual income levels of the students. Below is the breakdown:
- General Merit (GM), 2A, 2B, 3A, 3B categories with an annual income above Rs 10 lakh: Rs 40,860 for Engineering/Architecture courses.
- SC/ST categories with an annual income up to Rs 2.5 lakh: Rs 21,360.
- SC/ST students with an annual income between Rs 2.5 lakh and Rs 10 lakh: Rs 21,360.
- Category-1 students with an annual income up to Rs 2.5 lakh: Rs 21,360.
Fees for Private Colleges
The fee structure for private colleges affiliated with VTU Belgaum and for COMEDK quota seats is as follows:
- Government quota seats in private colleges: Minimum of Rs 76,135, with an optional skill fee.
- COMEDK quota seats: Rs 2,61,477.
Unaided colleges, including minority institutions, have different fee structures:
- Type-1 unaided colleges: Rs 96,574 annually.
- Type-2 unaided colleges: Rs 1,04,265 annually.
- Deemed or private universities: Similar to Type-1 unaided colleges, with an annual fee of Rs 96,574 plus additional charges.
