The Karnataka Government has decided to postpone the 2nd PUC practical exams due to a surge in the COVID-19 cases across the state. The exam authority, the Department of Pre-University Education, has released a notice regarding the postponement of Karnataka PUC practical exams 2021 scheduled between April 28 and May 18. The sources suggest that the Karnataka 2nd PUC practical exams will be held after the competition of theory examinations. The revised Karnataka practical exam dates will be announced soon on the official website.

Karnataka PUC Practical Exams 2021 Postponed

The Department has released an official notice regarding the Karnataka 2nd PUC practical exams. It has taken the decision after several requests received from parents, teachers and students. On the other hand, the Department has not yet taken any decision regarding the postponement of the 2nd PUC theory exams. The Karnataka 2nd PUC theory exams scheduled to begin on May 24 and conclude on June 16.

Earlier, the Karnataka government has decided to promote students from Class 1 to 9 without any physical examinations in the schools. Hence, students will not be asked to attend physical examinations in schools. It has asked the schools to complete the evaluation process by April 30.

Minister for Primary & Secondary Education Suresh Kumar has revealed that there is no change in the SSLC (Class 10) board exams schedule. Karnataka SSLC exams will be conducted from June 21 to July 5, 2021.

The government has also taken the decision to close all the schools in wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. It has declared the summer holidays from May 1 to June 14 for Classes 1 to 8. The summer vacation for students promoted to Classes 9 and 10 will be from May 1 to July 14.

Karnataka reported the biggest single-day spike on Sunday of 34,804 new COVID-19 cases. Bengaluru Urban alone reported 20,733 cases.
