Karnataka PGCET Exam 2024 Postponed, New Date to be Announced Soon

The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has decided to postpone the Karnataka Post Graduate Common Entrance Test (PGCET) 2024 because it coincided with the final semester exams of certain universities. The exam, originally planned for July 13 and 14, is conducted for entry into MCA, MBA, ME, MArch, and MTech programs. KEA will release the revised exam dates shortly.

Karnataka PGCET Exam 2024 Postponed

Reason for Postponement:

The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) is currently considering the requests from students to reschedule the Karnataka PGCET 2024 exam. The overlap with final semester exams scheduled between July 5 and 10 has prompted concerns among students. Acknowledging the issue, KEA is looking into potential alternative dates to ensure that students are given a fair opportunity to perform well in both exams without unnecessary stress or complications.

In response to the student's requests, KEA is evaluating the feasibility of adjusting the Karnataka PGCET 2024 exam date to accommodate the final semester exam schedules. This decision reflects the KEA's commitment to supporting students and their academic success, acknowledging the challenges posed by conflicting exam dates and aiming to provide a conducive environment for all test-takers to showcase their knowledge and abilities effectively.

Protecting Student Interests:

The decision was made to ensure that students have ample time to prepare for the exam without feeling rushed or unprepared. KEA understands the importance of giving students a fair chance to showcase their knowledge and skills. By postponing the exam, they aim to support students in achieving their academic goals and aspirations. Students are encouraged to regularly check the KEA website for updates on the new exam schedule. KEA remains committed to providing a transparent and supportive environment for all applicants, and the revised dates will be communicated well in advance to allow students to adjust their study plans accordingly.

Reopening of Registration Window:

Additionally, the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) will be reopening the registration portal for the Karnataka Post Graduate Common Entrance Test (PGCET) 2024 today. Applicants who have not yet applied can do so online until July 7th, 11:59 pm at kea.kar.nic.in. Please note that the deadline for fee payment is July 9th at 6 pm.
