The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has postponed the Karnataka Post Graduate Common Entrance Test (PGCET) due to a scheduling conflict with final semester exams at several universities. Originally set for July 13 and 14, 2024, the PGCET, which facilitates admissions to MCA, MBA, ME, MArch, and MTech programs, will be rescheduled. The new dates will be announced soon.

The final semester exams at some universities are scheduled from July 5 to 10, prompting many students to request a postponement of the PGCET. In response, KEA stated, "Many students have submitted requests to postpone the PGCET 2024 exam scheduled for July 13 and 14, 2024, as a few universities are commencing final semester exams from July 5 and 10, 2024." The revised dates will be announced on the KEA website shortly.
To accommodate the interests of the students, KEA has decided to defer the PGCET 2024 exam and will publish the new dates on their website in due course.
Additionally, KEA will reopen the registration window for the Karnataka PGCET 2024 today. Candidates who have not yet applied can register online until July 7 at 11:59 pm via kea.kar.nic.in. The deadline for the registration fee payment is July 9 at 6 pm.
The registration fee is Rs 650 for General and Other Backward Classes (OBC) candidates, and Rs 500 for Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates. Payments can be made using credit cards, debit cards, UPI, or net banking. Candidates are advised to regularly check the KEA website for updates on new exam dates and other important information.
