KCET 2014: First round of seat allotment results

The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA), Bangalore has announced the first round of Karnataka CET 2014 seat allotment results.

Candidates have to visit KEA website to check their allotted college by logging into the portal.

More than 66,000 seats were allotted in the first round of seat allotment.

KEA website has also issued a notification on the seat allotment results. All candidates have to choose from any of the four options mentioned in the website, even if they are not satisfied with the seat allotted to them.

What are the choices?
Choice 1:

  • If the candidate is satisfied with allotted seat, they have to go to the allotted college for admission.
  • He / She has to pay the prescribed fee by downloading the challan / allotted details from the KEA website.
  • After joining to the college, he / she has to inform KEA that they have joined the allotted college. If a candidate fails to inform that he / she has joined the college, KEA will cancel the seat allotted to that candidate.
  • Before opting for this choice, the candidate is advised to make sure that he / she cannot come back to option entry process for further round.

Choice 2:
If the candidate is satisfied with the allotted college and wishes to participate in the next round, then he / she should choose this option. If higher options gets allotted then the seat which was allotted earlier gets cancelled automatically. If higher options seats are not allotted then the seat which was allotted earlier shall remain the same in the candidates favor.

Note:
Fresh options entry will be permitted only when the new college / courses are included in the seat matrix after the allotment of the first round.

Choice 3:
This option should be choosen if any of the candidates are not satisfied with the allotted seat but still wish to participate in the next round with all the previously-entered options except the allotted options by surrendering the allotted seat and also re-ordering of already entered options.

Choice 4:
If the candidate is not satisfied with the allotted seat and he / she has got seat elsewhere, then this option should be choosen. He / she has to quit and inform KEA that he / she should not considered for any further round.
