Examination Details

This year, a staggering 7,13,862 students appeared for the 2nd PUC exams, comprising 3,35,468 boys, 3,78,389 girls, and 5 transgender candidates. The examinations were held from March 1 to March 20, 2025, across 1,171 centres throughout the state. Over 31,000 evaluators worked across 76 assessment centres to ensure swift and accurate result processing, with 2,342 vigilance squads deployed to uphold the integrity of the examination process.

How Did Students Perform Last Year?

In 2024, the results were declared on April 10. Out of 6.81 lakh candidates, over 5.52 lakh students passed, reflecting a strong overall pass percentage of 81.15%. Girls outshined boys once again, while Udupi emerged as the top-performing district with an incredible 96.80% pass rate. Other districts like Vijayapura, Uttara Kannada, and Kodagu also posted stellar performances.

Evaluation Pattern and Passing Criteria

KSEAB follows an 80+20 evaluation system, where 80 marks are assigned to theory papers and 20 marks to internal assessments. To pass a subject, students must score a minimum of 35%, which includes at least 25 marks in theory and 11 in practicals/internal assessments.
