Karnataka 2nd PUC Results 2025 Declared at kseab.karnataka.gov.in; 73.45% Pass, Know How to Check Your Score

The Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board (KSEAB) has officially declared the Karnataka 2nd PUC Result 2025 today, April 8.The Karnataka Class 12 PUC 2 Exam 1 results have been declared, with 73.45% of students successfully passing the exam. The much-awaited results were announced during a press conference at 12:30 PM, and the direct link to access the marks memo has now been activated on the official websites - karresults.nic.in and kseab.karnataka.gov.in - from 1:30 PM onwards.

Karnataka 2nd PUC Result 2025 Declared

This announcement brings a sense of closure to over 7 lakh students who appeared for the exams held from March 1 to March 20, 2025. Candidates can check their scores by entering their registration number, roll number, and captcha code as per the credentials mentioned in their hall tickets.

Karnataka PUC 2 Result 2025: Stream-Wise Performance

  • In the Arts stream, 1,53,043 students took the exam, with 81,553 clearing it, resulting in a pass percentage of 53.29%.
  • For the Commerce stream, out of 2,03,429 students who appeared, 1,55,425 passed, marking a pass percentage of 76.07%.
  • The Science stream recorded the highest success rate - 2,80,933 students appeared, and 2,31,461 passed, bringing the pass percentage to 82.45%.

Karnataka PUC 2 Result 2025: Performance by College Type

  • Unaided PU colleges recorded the best performance this year, with 3,29,458 students appearing for the exam and 2,73,156 passing - resulting in a remarkable pass percentage of 82.94%.
  • KREIS institutions (Karnataka Residential Educational Institutions Society) followed with a strong showing: 11,829 students took the exam and 8,458 passed, registering a pass percentage of 71.48%.
  • BBMP-run PU colleges saw 2,217 candidates appear and 1,527 succeed, marking a 68.88% pass rate.
  • Aided PU colleges had 98,649 students appear, out of which 61,859 passed, leading to a pass percentage of 62.69%.
  • Government PU colleges saw 1,44,425 students appear, with 82,474 clearing the exam - bringing the pass percentage to 57.11%.
  • Bifurcated PU colleges posted the lowest success rate, with only 7,965 out of 51,427 students passing - a modest pass percentage of 15.49%.
  • In total, across all college types, 6,37,805 students appeared for the Karnataka PUC 2 Exam 1, and 4,68,439 cleared it - making the overall pass percentage stand at 73.45%.

  • Visit the official website: karresults.nic.in
  • Click on the link titled "2nd PUC Exam 1 Result 2025"
  • Enter your registration number and stream
  • Submit the captcha code and click 'View Result'
  • Your digital marks memo will appear on the screen
  • Download and take a printout for future use

Note: The online scorecard is provisional. Students must collect their original marks memo from their respective schools at a later date.

Last Year's Performance Recap

In 2024, a total of 6,81,079 students appeared for the 2nd PUC examination. Of these, 5,52,690 successfully cleared the exam, resulting in a pass percentage of 81.15%. The Science stream topped with a pass rate of 89.96%, followed by Commerce at 80.94%, and Arts at 68.36%.

SMS Method:

  • Type KAR12 REGISTRATION NUMBER and send it to 56263
  • Example: KAR12 123456
  • You will receive your marks via SMS within moments.

DigiLocker App:

  • Download the DigiLocker app or visit the official DigiLocker website.
  • Go to the 'Education' section → Select 'KSEAB' → Click on '2nd PUC Result 2025'
  • Enter your registration number and download your digital mark sheet.

What's Next?

After the declaration, KSEAB is expected to release the schedule for the Supplementary/Repeat Exams under its three-exam system. This system allows students up to three chances annually to improve their scores - Exam 1 (main), Exam 2 (supplementary), and Exam 3 (repeaters). Students will be able to retain the best score out of the three attempts.

Pass Percentage

To pass the exam, students must secure at least 35% marks overall. Those who do not meet the passing criteria will be eligible to appear for the supplementary exams, giving them a fair chance to move ahead without losing a year.
