The Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) has announced the recruitment of 455 Stenographers as part of its 2024 recruitment drive. The notification numbered 24 & 25/2024, was released on August 14, 2024, detailing the application process, eligibility criteria, and examination pattern.

The application fee for the JSSC Stenographer Recruitment 2024 is set at Rs 100 for candidates belonging to the General, OBC, and EWS categories. Candidates from the SC and ST categories are required to pay a reduced fee of Rs 50. All payments must be made online through the official portal.

JSSC Stenographer Recruitment 2024: Vacancy Details:

This recruitment drive seeks to fill a total of 455 Stenographer positions. The distribution of vacancies is as follows:

• Unreserved (UR): 182 positions
• Scheduled Tribes (ST): 118 positions
• Scheduled Castes (SC): 45 positions
• Extremely Backward Class: 37 positions
• Backward Class: 27 positions
• Economically Weaker Section (EWS): 45 positions

JSSC Stenographer Recruitment 2024: Eligibility Criteria:

Applicants must meet the following eligibility criteria to be considered for the Stenographer position:

• Educational Qualification: A degree in any discipline and proficiency in stenography is required.
• Age Limit: Candidates must be between 21 and 35 years of age. Age relaxation is applicable for candidates belonging to reserved categories as per government norms.

JSSC Stenographer Recruitment 2024: Exam Pattern:

The selection process includes a written examination divided into two papers:

Paper 1:
Subjects:

• Hindi Language Knowledge: 25 questions (75 marks)
• English Language Knowledge: 25 questions (75 marks)
• General Studies: 25 questions (75 marks)
• Reasoning and Mental Ability: 25 questions (75 marks)
• Duration: 3 hours
• Total Questions: 100
• Qualifying Marks: A minimum of 30% in Paper 1 is required to advance to the next stage.

• Local language test
• Total Marks: 300
• Qualifying Marks: Candidates must score at least 30% to be considered for the final merit list.
