Joint Entrance Test (JET) 2020 Exam Fee Revised For SRFTI And FTII

Candidates who are aspiring for admission to the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), Pune and the Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute (SRFTI), Kolkatta are likely to get fees relief because of hunger strike and protests by students at the institutes.

A five-member committee headed by the governing council of the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) has announced the revised Joint Entrance Test (JET) 2020 fees. The Committee is also putting its best foot forward to take up the review of fee structure of regular courses in FTII.

The JET 2020 revised exam fee will come into effect for both institutes. Candidates who have registered for the entrance exam as per the earlier announced exam fee will be refunded based on the difference.

The sources suggest that the revised JET 2020 exam fees for candidates belonging to General Category will be Rs 2000. The revised exam fee will remain the same for any courses from either of the three groups (A, B and C). The exam fees for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Person with Disabilities (SC, ST and PwD) category candidates is Rs 600. The General Category candidates who wish to apply for every additional course from the remaining two groups should pay Rs 1000. However, it is Rs 300 for SC, ST and PwD categories.

The JET 2020 notification was released in December 2019 for admission to SRFTI and FTII. The registration window will close on January 24, 2020. The admit card will be available on official site from February 5, 2020, onwards. The JET 2020 exam date is February 15 and 16. The result will be declared during the third week of May 2020.
