JNVST Class 6 Registration 2027 Begins: Apply Online for Navodaya Admission Before July 31
The Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) has commenced the JNVST Class 6 Registration 2027 process for admission to Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs) for the 2027-28 academic session. Eligible students can now submit their applications through the official NVS admission portal. As per the official schedule, the last date to apply is July 31, 2026. Candidates are advised to complete the registration well before the deadline to avoid last-minute technical issues.

The entrance examination is scheduled earlier than in the previous two academic sessions, giving students more time for the admission process before the new session begins.
JNVST Class 6 Eligibility Criteria 2027
Students applying for JNV Class 6 admission must satisfy the following eligibility conditions:
- The applicant should be studying in Class 5 during the 2026-27 academic session in a recognized school.
- The student must be a bona fide resident of the district from where admission is being sought.
- Candidates should have studied and completed Classes 3, 4, and 5 from recognized schools.
- The applicant must have been born between May 1, 2015, and July 31, 2017 (both dates inclusive).
- Students who have already passed Class 5 or repeated Class 5 are not eligible to apply.
JNVST Class 6 Exam Pattern 2027
The Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST) is conducted to assess students' aptitude rather than their academic knowledge. The examination consists of objective-type questions divided into three sections:
- Mental Ability Test
- Arithmetic Test
- Language Test
The examination is conducted in offline mode, and candidates are required to answer multiple-choice questions within the prescribed duration. The test is designed to evaluate reasoning ability, numerical aptitude, and language skills.
How to Apply for JNVST Class 6 Registration 2027
Candidates can complete the online application by following these steps:
1. Visit the official Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti admission website.
2. Click on the JNVST Class 6 Admission 2027 Registration link.
3. Complete the online registration by entering the required student and parent details.
4. Upload the necessary documents, including a photograph, signature, and required certificates.
5. Verify all the information before submitting the application.
6. Submit the application form and download the confirmation page for future reference.
Selection Process
Admission to Class 6 in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas will be based on candidates' performance in the JNVST 2027 entrance examination. After the declaration of results, shortlisted students will be required to complete document verification and other admission formalities at their allotted Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya.
