JKPSC has announced that the preliminary examination will now take place statewide on October 15, 2023, deviating from the original date of October 8th. The application period for this exam ran from April 17 to June 30 in the same year.
The Jammu & Kashmir PSC has scheduled these tests in two time slots: the first from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM and the second from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. All qualified applicants must be aware that both sessions will be held on Sunday, October 15, and they should frequently check official announcements.

This competitive exam is being conducted to fill various vacancies including Junior Scale of JK Administrative Service(25 posts), JK Accounts(G) Service(25 posts), and JK Police(G) Service(25 posts). Therefore total number of available positions is seventy five.
The prelims test consists of two papers with multiple choice questions, and is scored out of a total 400 marks based on an extensive syllabus. This format promotes fairness for all exam participants.
