Jharkhand Commences Class 10 And 12 Board Examinations With Strict Security Measures

On Tuesday, Jharkhand commenced its Class 10 and Class 12 board examinations, marked by strict security measures, as stated by an official. The morning session saw the beginning of the Class 10 (matriculation) exams, with the Class 12 (Intermediate) exams set to follow in the afternoon. This year, a combined total of over 7.84 lakh students have registered to take these crucial board exams, which are being held in two separate sessions to accommodate the large number of candidates.

Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) secretary Jayant Mishra announced the smooth initiation of the Class 10 exams across the state. He mentioned, "The board examinations for class 10 started peacefully across the state. The class 12 examination will start in the second sitting." To ensure fairness and prevent malpractices, hefty measures have been enforced at all examination centers. Mishra highlighted the installation of CCTV cameras in every examination hall and the prohibition of mobile phones for invigilators during exam hours to maintain the integrity of the examination process.

Extensive Arrangements for Fair Examinations

For the Class 10 exams, which are taking place from 9.45 am to 1 pm, more than 4.33 lakh students are expected to appear at 1,297 designated centers. The Class 12 exams, scheduled from 2 pm to 5.15 pm, will see over 3.50 lakh candidates across 789 centers. These extensive arrangements underscore the state’s commitment to conducting the examinations in a fair and orderly manner. The exams for both classes are slated to conclude on March 3, marking the end of this annual academic assessment.

The examinations for both Class 10 and Class 12 in Jharkhand have been meticulously planned to ensure a smooth and secure process for all involved. The large-scale enrollment and the implementation of strict security protocols, including surveillance and mobile phone restrictions for invigilators, demonstrate the state's dedication to upholding high standards of academic integrity.
