In a reply to Swamy, Education Minister tweeted, " I would like to reiterate official facts once again: As informed by, they have conducted #JEEMains Sept–2020 in CBT mode at 605 centres for Paper-I BTech/BE & 489 centres for Paper-II BArch & B.Planning located in 232 cities across the country."

The seat matrix will be released after the announcement of final IIT JEE result 2020. The last year's seat matrix - Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) - 13,583, National Institutes of Technology (NITs) - 21,133, Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs) - 4713 and Government-funded Technical Institutes (GFTIs) - 5806

Candidates should note that the marking scheme is done to calculate scores. NTA has introduced numerical based questions this year. 4 marks are awarded for every correct response and one mark will be deducted for every incorrect response. However, no marks will be given for not answering or unattempted questions.
