The National Testing Agency (NTA), which conducts the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main), has released an official advisory for students intending to apply for JEE Main 2026. This comes ahead of the opening of the registration window, where lakhs of aspirants from across the country will be applying for admission to prestigious NITs, IIITs, GFTIs, and as the first step for IIT admissions through JEE Advanced.
According to the advisory, candidates must go through the information bulletin thoroughly to understand the eligibility conditions, application process, syllabus, exam pattern, and important instructions. Some key highlights include:
Eligibility: Students who have passed Class 12 or equivalent in 2024 or 2025 are eligible. Those appearing in 2026 can also apply.
Age Limit: There is no upper age limit, but candidates must meet the criteria of the institute to which they seek admission.
Application Process: Registrations will be online only at the official NTA website. Students should use a valid email ID and mobile number for communication.
