JEE Main 2025 Session 2 was conducted from April 2 to April 9, across multiple test centers both in India and abroad. Soon after the conclusion of the examination, NTA released the provisional answer key on April 11, allowing candidates to raise objections until April 13 by paying a fee of ₹200 per question.

Importance of the Final Answer Key

While the scorecard holds the primary focus, the final answer key also plays a vital role in ensuring transparency in the evaluation process. It allows candidates to cross-check their performance and understand any changes made after the objection window. NTA also made the response sheets and question papers accessible to candidates for added clarity.

NTA Score Normalization: Why It Matters

Unlike raw scores, the NTA score is derived using a normalization process. This methodology accounts for variations in difficulty levels across different sessions and ensures a fair percentile-based evaluation. Candidates are scored on a scale from 0 to 100, relative to other examinees within their shift.

Notably, in Session 1, 12 questions were dropped, and NTA awarded full marks to all candidates who appeared in those shifts, regardless of their attempted responses-demonstrating a commitment to fairness.

Result Date and What Lies Ahead

The final result, including the scorecard and answer key, is expected to be released on April 17, 2025, as confirmed by NTA. With the JEE Advanced and admissions to IITs, NITs, and IIITs on the horizon, these results will be instrumental in shaping the academic futures of thousands of aspirants.
