JEE Main 2025: NTA’s New Aadhaar Verification Process, All You Need to Know

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has introduced new guidelines to help students avoid common issues with Aadhaar Card name mismatches when applying for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2025. Many applicants have been running into problems because the name on their Aadhaar Card doesn't match their Class 10 certificate. This update makes it easier for students to complete their registrations smoothly and without unnecessary hiccups.

JEE Main 2025 Registration Update

Steps to Fix Aadhaar Name Mismatches

For students with name mismatches, the NTA has simplified the registration process. Here's what you need to do:

  • When you click "Confirm Name as per Aadhaar" during registration, a pop-up message will appear. Simply close the pop-up.
  • You'll then be taken to a new window where you can complete Aadhaar authentication.
  • Be sure to enter the exact name as it appears on your Aadhaar Card. This step helps the system recognize both your Class 10 certificate name and your Aadhaar name, allowing you to proceed without issues.

These changes aim to make the registration process easier for everyone, even if there are differences between your documents.

New Exam Format for JEE Main 2025

The JEE Main 2025 exam will be held in two sessions. The first session is scheduled from January 22 to 31, 2025, and the second session will happen in April 2025. One major change this year is the removal of optional questions in Section B. This means that all questions will now be mandatory, making the test simpler and more straightforward.

More Chances for JEE Advanced Attempts

Good news for those aiming for JEE Advanced! The NTA has increased the number of attempts for JEE Advanced. Now, you can take JEE Advanced up to three times over three consecutive years, giving you more chances to improve your score and aim for top engineering colleges.

Smoother Process for Aspiring Engineers

With these new guidelines, the NTA is focused on making the JEE Main experience smoother for all students. By tackling issues like Aadhaar name mismatches and adjusting exam policies, they're making it easier for aspiring engineers to complete their applications and take the exam with confidence.

These updates not only simplify the application process but also provide students with more opportunities to reach their goals.
