Instructions for JEE Mains 2024 and COVID-19 Advisory
In accordance with the guidelines issued by the Government of India in the current COVID-19 scenario, NTA will implement all necessary social distancing measures to ensure the health and safety of candidates taking the exam. Candidates must strictly adhere to the guidelines and new procedures related to social distancing and hygiene to safeguard their own health and that of their fellow candidates. Stringent measures and safety protocols will be implemented without compromising the high standards of sanitation and fairness in the examination process.
Important guidelines for candidates
- Candidates should arrive at the Examination Center well in advance, ideally 2 hours before the exam's start.
- Immediate seating is required once the Examination Hall opens to avoid missing important announcements.
- Admission to the examination room/hall requires candidates to present the downloaded/printed Admit Card from the NTA website upon request. Verification of the candidate's identity may be conducted by authorized test center staff.
- Candidates must occupy their assigned seats and refrain from changing seats to avoid the risk of candidature cancellation.
- Verify that the Question Paper on the computer matches the subject opted for, as indicated in the Admit Card. Any discrepancies should be brought to the attention of the Invigilator.
- Candidates can seek assistance from the Centre Superintendent/Invigilator for technical support, first aid, emergencies, or any necessary information during the examination.
- For queries related to the Computer Based Test, candidates can contact the Helpline Numbers available on the JEE (Main) Website.
- Candidature will be canceled, and results will not be declared if a candidate appears in more than one shift/date by providing incorrect details.
- No re-test will be conducted for candidates unable to appear on the scheduled test date for any reason.
