Is the 75% Criterion Reintroduced For JEE Mains 2023?

The NTA has reinstated the class 12 performance bar of 75% for qualifying for JEE Main 2023 beginning this year. The Agency has decided that, while admission to courses in NITs, IIITs, and CFTIs participating in the Central Seat Allocation Board will be based on All India Rank, it will also be subject to the condition that the candidate has obtained at least 75% marks in the respective Boards' Class 12 examinations.
However, in the case of SC/ST applicants, the qualifying mark would be 65%.
In addition, to pass JEE Main, students must pass all their class 12 subjects or any comparable qualifying test.

What is the application fee for JEE 2023 Main Exam?

This year, the NTA has raised the registration price for the JEE Main 2023 exam. The cost for general category male candidates has increased from Rs 650 to Rs 1,000. Female applicants will now be charged Rs 800, up from Rs 325. Candidates from SC/ST/PWD and the third gender would have to pay Rs 500 instead of Rs 325. The NTA has decided to hold JEE Main in two sessions this year.

Exam Dates Of JEE 2023 Mains

The first session exams are on January 24, 25, 27, 28, 29, 30, and 31. (reserve dates are February 1, 2, 3). The second session exam will be held on April 6, 8, 10, 11, and 12. (reserve dates are April 13 and 15). The advantage of having two JEE Main 2023 sessions is that candidates who are dissatisfied with their performance in the first session and wish to enhance their score will be able to do so in the second session.
