JEE Main 2021 Session 3: Students Affected By Rains In Maharashtra To Get Another Chance

JEE Main 2021 Session 3: The students affected by rains in Maharashtra will be given another chance to take the JEE Main Session 3 exams, the NTA announced in the wake of heavy rain battering state.

JEE Main 2021 Session 3: In a latest development, the National Testing Agency (NTA) which is conducting the JEE Main 2021 Session 3 on 20, 22, 25, and 27 July 2021 across 334 cities in India, and abroad has announced that it will re-conduct JEE Main Session 3 for all the candidates in Maharashtra who will not be able to take them on July 25 and July 27 in view of heavy rains lashing Maharashtra and inundating several places in the region. The re-exam dates for affected students will be announced soon, the agency informed.

"In the light of heavy rains and landslides in Maharashtra, to assist the Maharashtra student community, the NTA has decided to grant another opportunity to all candidates who have Examination Centres in the cities of Kolhapur, Palghar, Ratnagiri, Raigadh, Sindhudurg, Sangli, and Satara, and who are not able to reach the Examination Centre for JEE Main 2021 Session 3," NTA in a statement said.

The statement further read, "The students with Examination Centres in these cities, who may not be in a position to reach their Examination Centres on 25 and 27 July 2021 for JEE Main 2021 Session 3, need not panic. They will be given another opportunity, and the dates for the same will be announced soon by the NTA."

Informing about the decision to provide another chance to students affected by rains in Maharashtra, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan tweeted, "In light of the heavy rains and landslides in Maharashtra, to assist the Maharashtra student community, I have advised the NTA to grant another opportunity to all candidates who may not be able to reach the test centre for JEE (Main)-2021 Session 3."

NTA has successfully conducted the JEE Main Session 3 exams that were scheduled on July 20 and July 22
