The Joint Entrance Exam, JEE main 2017 in the pen and paper based format begins on April 2. It is conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) at various exam centres of the country. Candidates can choose their location from any of the centres given below.

Lakhs of students have registered themselves for the JEE main 2017. Around 12 lakh students will be competing to get a seat in the engineering college of their choice.
Top 2.2 Lakhs students will be considered successful and be eligible to attend JEE Advanced which is conducted by the Joint Admission Board of the IIT's.
A separate merit list will be published by the CBSE consisting of All India Rank and Home State Rank based on JEE Main score basis. With this ranking, the students can then opt for their desired engineering college from NIT, IIIT and Central Funded Technical Institutes.
