JEE Main 2015 scores for admission to IIEST, West Bengal

The premier top institution in India, Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology (IIEST), Shibpur, West Bengal is offering admission to their engineering progarmmes through JEE Main 2015 scores from the year 2015-16.

The IIEST is offering to its 10 departments.

Aerospace Engineering
Electrical Engineering
Electronics and Telecommunications
Mechanical Engineering
Civil Engineering
Computer Science Engineering
Information Technology Engineering
Metallurgy
Mining Engineering
Architecture

The norms formed by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) for the National Institutes of Technology (NITs) will be followed for admission to IIEST programmes.

Earlier, IIEST had sent a letter to the MHRD requesting for permission to admit 50% of Bengal state students, similar to the NITs.

IIEST will also grant admission to students into M Tech courses through the integrated counseling at the NITs as well as other government-funded institutes.

About IIEST:
IISET was established in 1856. Earlier the college name was Bishops College, Bengal Engineering and Science University. It is one of the top engineering colleges in the country and it is classified as an Institute of National Importance by the Government of India.
