The Joint Entrance Examination - Advanced (JEE Advanced) 2024 was held on May 26 in two sessions. The first session ran from 9 am to 12 noon, and the second session from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm. The question paper is now available on the official website, jeeadv.ac.in.

JEE Advanced 2024 Exam Details and Timelines

Key Dates for JEE Advanced 2024

  • May 31: Students' response sheets will be released.
  • June 2: Provisional answer keys will be available.
  • June 2-3: Candidates can raise objections to the answer keys.
  • June 9: Final answer key and results will be published.

Following the result announcement, registration for the Architecture Aptitude Test (AAT) 2024 will open on June 9 and close on June 10. The AAT exam will be conducted on June 12 from 9 am to 12 noon, with results expected on June 14.

Admission and Programmes

Through JEE Advanced, IITs offer admissions to undergraduate programmes leading to Bachelor's degrees, Integrated Master's degrees, and Bachelor-Master Dual degrees in fields such as Engineering, Sciences, and Architecture. Students in dual degree programmes receive both Bachelor's and Master's degrees upon completion.

Additionally, some IITs offer a BTech (Honors) and/or a BTech with Minors for students in the 4-year Bachelor's programme.

Joint Seat Allocation Process

The Joint Seat Allocation (JoSAA) 2024 process will start on June 10 at 5 pm. This process facilitates admissions to 118 institutes for the academic year 2023-24, including 23 IITs, 31 NITs, IIEST Shibpur, 26 IIITs, and 38 other Government-funded Technical Institutes (GFTIs). Students who secure a rank in JEE Advanced 2024 can participate in the Joint Seat Allocation process. All eligible candidates must fill in their preferential choices of courses and institutes through a single platform.

Several other institutes admit students based on their JEE Advanced rank. These include:

  • Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru
  • Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISERs) at multiple locations
  • Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST)
  • Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology (RGIPT)
  • Indian Institute of Petroleum & Energy (IIPE)
