JEE Advanced 2021 Update: The Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has announced that the JEE Advanced 2021 Exam will be conducted on October 3, 2021 for admissions to IITs with strict adherence to COVID-protocols.

JEE Advanced 2021 Exam date announced

Informing about the JEE Advanced 2021 exam date, Dharmendra Pradhan in a tweeter post said, "JEE (Advanced) 2021 examination for admission in #IITs will be held on the 3rd October, 2021. The examination will be conducted adhering to all Covid-protocols."

The JEE Advanced 2021 Examination has witnessed frequent disruptions in schedule due to the COVID-19 pandemic. IIT Kharagpur which is tasked with conducting the JEE Advanced 2021 exam this year, releasing the JEE Advanced 2021 information brochure earlier said, "Due to the prevailing COVID-19 pandemic-related circumstances in India, the date of JEE (Advanced) 2021 had earlier been postponed. A new date will be announced in due course."

Former education minister Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal had even tweaked the eligibility criteria for admissions to IITs, for which JEE Advanced is a gateway, by relaxing the eligibility criteria of 75 percent in board exams for admissions to IITs giving more flexibility to students.

The JEE Advanced 2021 for admission to various programs at IITs will be held as per the following schedule:

What After JEE Advanced 2021 Exam

Post-JEE Advance, the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) under Ministry of Education, earlier the MHRD, will initiate the counseling process for candidates qualifying the JEE Main 2021 and JEE Advanced 2021 for allocation of seats into 100 plus (107) premier institutions throughout the country including 23 IITs, 31 NITs, 23 IIITs and 28 other government-funded technical institutes (Other-GFTIs) offering admissions to all the academic programs through a single platform.
