JEE Advanced 2016: IIT-Guwahati to Conduct the Exam

JEE Advanced examination for the academic year 2016 will be conducted by IIT Guwahati. The dates for the JEE Advanced-2016 will be announced shortly. The authorities are still in the process of finalising the events required for conducting the exam properly.

JEE Advanced which is the second stage of examination for admission in Indian Institute of Technology, is conducted by seven zonal IITs under Joint Admisison Board.

According to reports, around top 1.5 lakh rank holders are eligible to take the exam after clearing the first stage- JEE Mains.

However, the decision will depend on the outcome of the new proposal put forward by IITs to go back to the older system of single exam pattern. If the proposal is accepted then students would have to give one exam instead of two stages of exams to secure a seat in IITs.

Last year the examination was conducted by IIT Delhi.
