Jamia Millia Islamia begins application for UPSC Civil Services 2025 coaching, Know more

The Residential Coaching Academy (RCA) at the Centre for Coaching and Career Planning, Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI), is accepting online applications for free coaching with hostel accommodation for the UPSC Civil Services (Preliminary-cum-Main) examination 2024. According to an official notification from JMI, free coaching with hostel accommodation is available to minorities, SCs, STs, and women candidates preparing for UPSC CSE 2025.

Applications can be submitted online from March 18, 2024, with the deadline for submission being May 19, 2024. Candidates have the opportunity to edit their details on the application form during the correction window from May 21-22, 2024.
The entrance test is scheduled for June 1, 2024, and will be conducted across ten exam centers: Delhi, Srinagar, Jammu, Hyderabad, Guwahati, Mumbai, Patna, Lucknow, Bengaluru, and Malappuram.

ENTRANCE TEST

Applicant selection involves both an entrance examination and an interview. The written test is slated for June 1. For this year, a total of 100 seats are open. Mandatory hostel accommodation will be provided to all enrolled students. Should there be a shortage of hostel spaces, allocation may be based solely on entrance test merit.

The Residential Coaching Academy's examination will comprise two sections: Paper 1 and Paper 2. Paper 1 encompasses general studies, while Paper 2 concentrates on essay writing.

Paper 1 will feature only objective-type questions, accounting for 100 marks, whereas Paper 2 carries 60 marks. Following Paper 1's merit assessment (based on MCQ test scores), only the essays of the top 900 students will undergo evaluation. The interview, worth 40 marks, will be conducted online.
