IT Jobs News: Hiring in IT Sector is likely to go up with better trends in the economic growth in FY 2021 in relation to the previous year, according to 95 per cent CEOs of IT sectors, says NASSCOM.

IT Jobs News: The Indian IT sector is expected to witness better hiring and growth trends in 2021 as compared to previous year that saw the industry being hit by the COVID-19 pandemic impacting thousands of jobs and hiring process in the IT industry, according to a NASSCOM Survey.

As per a survey conducted by NASSCOM, around 95 per cent of CEOs in IT sector anticipate that the hiring in FY 2021 will go up alongside better growth trends in the Indian tech industry.

"97% CEOs anticipate a significantly better global economic growth in 2021 as compared to 2020. In terms of hiring, 95% CEOs expect 2021 hiring to be more than what they hired in 2020. Further, 67% CEOs believe the Indian technology industry to grow significantly higher than 2020," the NASSCOM's CEO survey stated.

Digital Transformation To Boost Growth, IT Jobs

This comes as big relief to thousands of people who seek opportunities and yearn to establish career in the IT sector a year after the pandemic. The career prospects and hiring trend in IT sector is fueled by a drastic shift to digital transformation and adoption of technology by companies during the pandemic, as per the trading body.

Speaking about the survey, U.B. Pravin Rao, Chairman NASSCOM said, "Digital transformation is the topmost priority for global corporations and in a highly connected world that will remain largely contactless for an extended period, there are shifts in business models, customer experience, operations, and employee experience. Our CEO survey for 2021 indicates that almost 70% companies expect investment in global technology higher than the previous year."

The National Association of Software and Services Companies (NASSCOM) highlighted the key trends in IT Jobs alongside growth in the tech sector in its Strategic Review 2021 report titled 'New World: The Future is Virtual', while laying down the road ahead for the new normal.

On the road head, Ms. Debjani Ghosh, President, NASSCOM, said, "As we look at 2021, while there are positives on the vaccination front and accelerated digitization across verticals, the technology industry in India is well geared to build on these trends and continue its transformation journey in this re-defined techade"
