Marking its 25 years of academic excellence, the Indian School of Business (ISB) has unveiled a series of initiatives aimed at widening access to management education and advancing the quality of research and teaching in India. The new measures are part of the institute's anniversary celebrations and focus on creating greater opportunities for students, researchers and faculty members.

A major announcement is the launch of the ISB25 Scholars Programme, under which the institute will offer 250 scholarships every year across its Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGP) and Post Graduate Programme in Management for Young Leaders (PGP YL). The scholarships will be awarded through a combination of 100%, 50%, 30% and 25% tuition-fee waivers.
The programme is aimed at making management education more accessible to talented students and professionals, irrespective of their financial circumstances. Scholarship decisions will take into account factors including merit and financial need.
Under the new scholarship initiative, ISB will provide 250 annual scholarships across its PGP and PGP YL programmes. The financial assistance will range from partial tuition-fee waivers to full tuition-fee coverage.
The institute has stated that the initiative is designed to ensure that the cost of management education does not prevent high-potential candidates from considering ISB. It will also create opportunities for alumni, donors and partners to support named scholarships and learner pathways.
ISB already provides financial support to a significant share of its students. According to its current PGP scholarship information, around 25% of PGP students receive financial support each year, with scholarships and financial aid covering a range of merit, need and diversity categories.
As part of its wider 25th-anniversary commitments, ISB will establish the India Research Commons, a shared platform intended to support researchers across the country.
The platform will provide access to curated datasets, research tools, methodology resources and AI-enabled platforms. The initiative is intended to reduce barriers to contemporary management research and help scholars access resources needed for rigorous and relevant research.
Through the Research Commons, ISB aims to extend its research capabilities beyond its own campuses and contribute to the development of a stronger management research ecosystem in India.
ISB has also announced a national faculty-development initiative aimed at management institutions across India. The programme will enable faculty members to benefit from ISB's experience in areas such as pedagogy, classroom teaching and technology-enabled learning.
The initiative is intended to strengthen teaching capabilities and support educators as management education continues to evolve. ISB said the broader objective is to share knowledge, tools and institutional capabilities with the next generation of scholars and educators.
The three initiatives form part of ISB's broader vision for its next phase. The school has described its anniversary commitments around expanding access, strengthening academic capacity and creating greater public value.
With the ISB25 Scholars Programme, India Research Commons and National Faculty Development Programme, the institute is extending its 25-year academic and research experience beyond its immediate student and faculty community. The measures are aimed at widening access to management education while supporting research and teaching institutions across India.
