IndiGo to sponsor education of 100 children

New Delhi, November 5: Budget passenger carrier IndiGo Tuesday said that as part of its celebrations over the delivery of its 100th A-320 aircraft, it will sponsor the education of 100 underprivileged children. According to the airline, it has launched the '6E Scholar' programme in partnership with a globally established NGO Mensa India.

"Through this initiative, we aim to extend our support to the 100 underprivileged children, and help them meet the adequate requirement of good education by coaching and mentoring them till graduation, in support with our NGO partner," said Aditya Ghosh, president, IndiGo. As part of the 6E scholar program, Mensa India will hold the IQ tests to identify children with 98 percent IQ score, who will be further placed into educational streams best suited to their aptitude.
