The Ministry of Railways, Govt. of India, has invited online applications from eligible and interested Indian citizens for filling 400 vacancies to the post of Act Apprentices in multiple trades comprising Fitter, Welder (G&E), Machinist, Painter (General), Carpenter, Mechanic (Motor Vehicle), Electrician, Electronics Mechanic and AC & Refrigerator Mechanic through direct recruitment to be posted at its Rail Coach Factory (RCF) unit in Kapurthala (Punjab). The registration-cum-application process towards the same started on January 8, 2020 and closes on February 6, 2020.

Age Criteria And Fees
Candidates interested in applying for Apprentices post through Indian Railway Recruitment must have attained 15 years of age as on January 8, 2020 and not be more than 24 years (Gen/UR), 27 years (OBC) and 29 years (SC/ST) respectively.

Educational Credentials and Eligibility
Desirous candidates applying for Apprentices post through Indian Railway Recruitment must have passed Class 10/SSLC or equivalent (minimum 50% marks) with ITI (NTC) in relevant trade from a NCVT recognised Board/Institution as specified in the notification.
Selection And Pay Scale
The selection of candidates as Apprentices post through Indian Railway Recruitment will be done through Shortlisting, Candidates' academic performance-cum-marks obtained in the relevant ITI trade and Final Merit List.
Candidates selected as Apprentices post through Indian Railway Recruitment will be a monthly stipend as per the apprenticeship norms.
