The Indian Navy has announced the recruitment of Senior Secondary Recruits (SSR) Medical Assistants for the November 2024 batch. Aspiring candidates can apply online from September 7, 2024, until September 17, 2024. The admit cards are expected to be released by the end of September or early October, with the Stage-II exam scheduled for mid-October 2024.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for this position, applicants must have been born between November 1, 2003, and April 30, 2007. They should have successfully completed their 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) from a recognized board. A minimum aggregate score of 50% and at least 40% in each subject are required to qualify.
Selection Process and Physical Fitness Test
The selection process is divided into two stages. Stage I involves shortlisting candidates based on their 10+2 PCB marks. Stage II includes a Physical Fitness Test (PFT), a written examination, and a Recruitment Medical Examination.
For male candidates, the PFT will include a 1.6 km run, which must be completed within 6 minutes and 30 seconds, along with other physical exercises. The written examination will be bilingual (in both English and Hindi) and consist of 100 objective-type questions spread across four sections. The exam duration is one hour, and candidates must pass all sections to qualify.
Application Process
Interested candidates should apply online through the official Indian Navy website at www.joinindiannavy.gov.in by September 17, 2024. There is no application fee for this recruitment. If applicants encounter any issues during the application process, they can contact the Naval Headquarters via email at [email protected] for assistance.
Candidates will be shortlisted on a state-wise basis, depending on the aggregate percentage in their Physics, Chemistry, and Biology qualifying exams. The cut-off marks may vary by state, and in cases where candidates have the same percentage, those with an earlier date of birth will be prioritized.
Salary
During the initial training period, selected candidates will receive a stipend of Rs. 14,600 per month. Upon successful completion of the training, they will be placed in Level 3 of the Defence Pay Matrix, with a salary ranging from Rs. 21,700 to Rs. 69,100 per month. Additionally, they will receive a Military Service Pay (MSP) of Rs. 5,200 per month, along with Dearness Allowance (DA). The final merit list will be prepared based on the candidates' performance in the Stage-II written exam and their qualification in both the PFT and Recruitment Medical Examination.
