Indian Navy has released an official employment notification calling out for eligible candidates to apply for Sailor posts.

Sailors for Senior Secondary Recruits (SSR)- February 2018 Batch.

Eligibility

Applications must be

unmarried male
From North Eastern States (Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Tripura, Nagaland and Sikkim)

Educational qualification

'Candidates should have qualified 10+2/ equivalent exam with Maths and Physics as compulsory subjects; optional subjects Chemistry/ Biology/ Computers. Candidates should have been born between 01 Feb 1997 to 31 Jan 2001 (Both dates inclusive).

How to apply for Indian Navy Sailor recruitment?

Candidates can apply at joinindiannavy.gov.in.

Selection process

Candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in written test, physical fitness and medical examination.
The written test (objective type) will be of one hour and will comprise of questions from English, Science, Mathematics and General Knowledge.
The physical fitness test will comprise of 1.6 Km run to be completed in 7 minutes, 20 squat ups (Uthak Baithak) and 10 Push-ups.

Deadline

The last date for candidates to apply for the post is 15 October 2017.

Documents required

Candidates shall have to take original and one self-attested copy of Matriculation certificate, 10+2 mark sheet and certificate, NCC certificates, Domicile certificates and ten colour passport photographs.
