The Indian Navy has opened applications for Agniveer posts, specifically for the MR Musician category. Eligible candidates can apply online through the official website of the Indian Navy at joinindiannavy.gov.in. The deadline for applications is July 11, 2024.

Eligibility Criteria
- Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed the Matriculation Examination from a Board of School Education recognized by the Ministry of Education, Government of India.
- Age Limit: Applicants should be born between November 1, 2003, and April 30, 2007 (inclusive of both dates).
Selection Process
The selection process for recruits is based on merit, determined through a Preliminary Screening Test and a Final Screening Test. The steps are as follows:
- Preliminary Screening: Shortlisting of candidates based on marks obtained in the Matriculation Examination.
- Stage I - Preliminary Screening: Includes a Physical Fitness Test (PFT), Music Screening Test, and Recruitment Medical Examination.
- Final Screening: Candidates who qualify in the PFT and Preliminary Music Test will undergo a Recruitment Medical Examination. A merit list will then be prepared based on vacancies. The merit list will be available on the candidate dashboard at joinindiannavy.gov.in by October 24.
Physical Eligibility
For Male Candidates:
- 1.6 KM Running: 6 minutes 30 seconds
- Squats (Uthak Baihtak): 20 times
- Push-Ups: 12 times
- Chest: Minimum expansion of 5 cm
For Female Candidates:
- 1.6 KM Running: 8 minutes
- Squats (Uthak Baihtak): 15 times
- Bent Knee Sit-Ups: 10 times
- Chest: Minimum expansion of 5 cm
Salary and Benefits
Agniveers will receive a monthly package of Rs 30,000 with a fixed yearly increment. Additionally, they will be entitled to risk and hardship allowances, dress allowances, and travel allowances.
Instrument Proficiency
Candidates must demonstrate expertise in one or more of the following instruments:
Keyboard
- String instruments
- Wind instruments
- Drum Kit (minimum 7-piece set)
- Any other instrument of Indian or foreign origin
- Candidates performing on indefinite pitch instruments such as Bass Drum, Snare Drums, Side Drums, Cymbals, non-chromatic instruments such as bugles, and monotone instruments producing only one note or drone are not eligible for recruitment.
