The Indian Navy has released an official notification for the recruitment of Sailors for Direct Entry Petty Officer, Senior Secondary Recruit (SSR), and Matric Recruits (MR) through Sports Quota. The interested unmarried male candidates can apply offline for the Indian Navy Sports Quota Recruitment 2021 post in the prescribed application format before 7 March 2021.

Indian Navy Recruitment 2021: Sailor Posts

The candidates who have participated in International or National Championship, Senior State Championship, All India Inter-University Championship in Basketball, Athletics, Cricket, Football, Gymnastics, Kabaddi, Volleyball, and various other sports can apply for the Indian Navy Sailor Sports Quota 2021.

Indian Navy Sailor Recruitment 2021: Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification: The candidate must be at least 12th pass in any stream or equivalent qualification from any recognised board to qualify for Direct Entry Petty Officer and Senior Secondary Recruit (SSR). For Matric Recruit (MR), the candidate must have passed at least class 10.

Sports Proficiency: The candidate should have participated at the International/ National/ State level or represented a University in the Inter-University tournament under Team Games.

For Individual Events, the candidate should have secured at least 6th position in National (seniors) or 3rd position in National (juniors).

Age Limit: The age limit to qualify for Direct Entry Petty Officer, Senior Secondary Recruit (SSR), and Matric Recruit (MR) posts is a minimum of 17 years and a maximum of 22 years of age.

Indian Navy Sailor Recruitment 2021: Selection Criteria And Pay Scale

The shortlisted candidates would be called for trials at designated Naval Centres. The candidates who will be qualified will have to undergo a medical examination at INS Hamla, Mumbai for the final round of selection.

The selected candidates for Indian Navy Sailor Recruitment 2021 under Sports Quota will be paid Rs.14,600 per month during the initial training period. After successful completion of training, the candidates will get a remuneration of Rs. 21,700 to Rs. 43,100 per month.
