Indian Army Postpones Common Entrance Exam For Northeast Amid Covid Surge

“All the activities of Common Entrance Exam (CEE) that was scheduled to take place on 25 April 2021 have been postponed till further notice due to the rising Covid-19 cases,” said Lt. Col P Khongsai.

The Indian Army has postponed the Common Entrance Exam (CEE) for the Northeast for an indefinite period. The CEE exam which was scheduled to be held on 25 April 2021 has been postponed due to the massive surge in Covid-19 cases.

Indian Army Postpones Common Entrance Exam

According to the Defence Public Relations Officer (Guwahati) Lt. Col P Khongsai, "the Common Entrance Exam was to be conducted in Shillong (Meghalaya), Rangapahar (Nagaland), and Jorhat and Narangi (Assam).

"All the activities related to the Common Entrance Exam (CEE) that was scheduled to take place on 25 April 2021 have been postponed until further notice due to the rising Covid-19 cases across the country," said Lt. Col P Khongsai.

According to the PRO, the revised dates for the examinations will be announced as and when confirmed.

The scores of candidates will be affected from Assam, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Tripura, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Sikkim, Odisha, and West Bengal among others, stated the official release.

"All Indian Army Recruitment rallies that were scheduled to be conducted from 01 May 2021 to 08 May 2021 in Aizawl have also been postponed till 31 May 2021. The fresh dates would be communicated as and when confirmed," said Lt. Col P Khongsai.
