India Post, under the Ministry of Communications, Govt. of India, has invited online applications from eligible and interested candidates for filling 4,166 vacancies to the post of Branch Postmasters (BPM), Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM) and Gramin Dak Sevaks (GDS) through direct recruitment to be deployed in the Haryana, Madhya Pradesh and Uttarakhand postal circles. The registration-cum-application process towards the same started on June 8, 2020 and closes on July 7, 2020.

Age Criteria And Fees

Candidates interested in applying for GDS posts through India Post Recruitment 2020 must have attained 18 years of age as on June 8 2020 and not be more than 40 years, with relaxation (upper age limit) up to 5 years (SC/ST) and 3 years (OBC) respectively.

Candidates must pay a prescribed amount of Rs. 100 (UR/OBC/EWS) as application processing fee through online (net-banking/credit/debit) mode or any other mode as applicable. SC/ST/PWD and Women candidates are exempted from paying the application fee.

Educational Criteria And Eligibility

Candidates applying for GDS posts through India Post Recruitment 2020 must have Secondary School Examination pass certificate of 10th standard with passing marks in Mathematics, local language and English (having been studied as compulsory or elective subjects) conducted by any recognized Board of School Education by the Government of India/State Governments/Union Territories in India shall be a mandatory educational qualification for all approved categories of Gramin Dak Sevaks.

Candidates should have studied the local language of the concerned postal area/circle at least up to 10th standard.

Selection And Pay Scale

The selection for GDS posts through India Post Recruitment 2020 will be done based on merit.

Candidates selected for GDS posts through India Post Recruitment 2020 will be paid emolument in the range of Rs. 10,000 to Rs. 14,500 per month as per the designation.
